Musings Over Frozen Yogurt

I sat there, staring at the frozen yogurt in front of me, wondering why I even bought the damn thing; I mean, I don’t even like frozen yogurt. Now I have to ask myself, do I really eat this ice cream wannabe of a treat or do I just throw it away? Who the hell ever thought freezing yogurt would ever be an acceptable substitute for the true delicacy of ice cream. Some evil genius freezes yogurt and then boldly claims “I have a healthy alternative to ice cream!” and I’m supposed to be impressed; but still, I bought the damn thing, for some strange reason.

Smelly Cat

I’m sitting here staring at the TV binge-watching Friends, laughing hysterically at Phoebe singing her staple song, Smelly Cat.  “Smelly cat, smelly cat, what are they feeding you?  Smelly cat, smelly cat, it’s not your fault”, I laugh until my cat, who is sitting on my lap, lets out the most foul-smelling fart and realize, that song is about my cat.  How dare she insult my cat!

Swimming Lessons

I’m sitting here poolside watching my two beautiful children with their swim teacher. Swim lessons are mandatory for my children, I don’t want them growing up like me, an adult who doesn’t know how to swim. Of course, my children don’t know that I don’t know how to swim, it is even a secret that I somehow managed to keep from my wife even after all of these years together.
